November 2022 update is now available for Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA). In this post, we will discuss what new features and bug fixes you will be getting after upgrading to this version.
For those who don’t know, Microsoft has rolled out the WSA insider version for users who are already on some Insider Programs like Dev or Beta. If you are one such user and want to test the new features, go ahead and install this WSA on your computer.
Note: The main areas of work on this update were Audio Recording, Authentication, Camera, and Input. In addition to the above resolutions, the new update also supports MPEG2 decoding.
What comes with November 2022 Update for WSA?
If you are using Windows Subsystem for Android on your Windows 11 PC, the new update will bring the following changes to your system –
- Updates the WSA Build version to 2210.40000.7.0.
- Improves the Audio Recording quality.
- Adds enhancements to the OAuth scenarios.
- Supports MPEG2 decoding on your Windows PC.
- Chromium update to 106.
- Improves Input reliability on your system.
- If your device is not equipped with a camera, this new version will improve the camera experience.
How to get this new update on your Windows PC?
Just like any other updates on Windows, the recent version will download and install on its own if you haven’t blocked it manually. In case you do want to download and install it manually, visit Microsoft Store, and hit Get updates. The store app will look for available updates for existing apps and thus upgrade your WSA to Build version 2210.40000.7.0.
