iOS 16 RC is now available ahead of its Offcial Release

iOS 16 is all ready to be publicly available by the next week on Monday, 12th September 2022. Ahead of its official release, its iOS 16 RC (Release Candidate) version is also made available to the developers and beta users. Its size is around 5.02 GB and your iPhone will upgrade to OS Build 20A362 after upgrading to this build.

Release Candidate is basically the penultimate Build OS by Apple before any official release. If developers or beta users didn’t face any trouble, this is made available for all. However, if they indeed face any issue, the official release will contain the required bug-fixes.

Salient Features of iOS 16 20A362

The key highlights on this beta release are as follows –

  • Customizable Lock Screen: This is the most talked about feature of iOS 16. Users have time and again requested Apple to provide them ways to alter their Lock Screen. Well, for the first time, Apple has worked on this and really brought a significant change to the Lock Screen. From now onward, you can clearly made your iPhone display screen unique using the available widgets, wallpapers, etc.
  • Revamped Notifications: This is another great area where Apple has improved a lot. Earlier, where it was quite impossible to remove notifications on the lock screen, iPhone 14 clubs together notifications from the same app in a different slack. Now, deleting or letting go of notifications is quite easy.
  • Camera Improvements: As announced on big event by Apple, iPhone Cameras are now 12 MP each in the back side, and a single 12 MP in the front end.
  • Undo the recently send messages: If you had recently messaged someone and thought of some mistakes on it, you may undo it. Edit the message and send it again.

Apart from these key features, Apple also improved the Focus mode, Shared Tab Groups, Passkeys in Safari, Apple Pay Later, and iCloud Shared photo Library.

What other features will be coming to iOS 16?

There are certain features Apple talked about, however, they won’t be coming to iPhone 14 or 14 Plus anytime soon. As per the tech giant, they are planning to bring Live Activities, and Matter Support in their furture software releases. So, wait till then.

Try out its release candidate version on your iPhone and let them know if you face any issue on your phone. You may mention the issue to us as well and we will let them know. We hope, iPhone 14 RC version works great on your device.

At the Big event, Apple also announces the release of watchOS 9 RC, tvOS 16 RC, and macOS Ventura beta 7.
