Windows 11 version 22H2 is all set to come on September 2022 this year i.e. 2022. This is the first major update since its initial release on 11th Sept 2021. Microsoft has worked upon and adapted several new things like tab-supported File Explorer, Android Environment on Windows, and many others. Additionally, they also worked to improve security, productivity, and the overall user experience.
With the new operating system, there will be a requirement for compatible drivers and chipsets from leading companies like Intel, AMD, etc. Well, they have already worked upon and released several supporting drivers to make this transition easy and secure. Let’s learn what new drivers are now available for download on Windows 11 version 22h2.
Windows 11 22H2 Drivers are now available for download
Windows 11 version 22h2 will be available for the general public starting from 20th Sept 2022. As the release date is near, several leading companies have officially rolled out the supported drivers for this version. As per them, Windows users must download and install these compatible device drivers before they switch to Windows 11 22h2. Doing so will reduce the chances of your device crashing on different bugs or slowing down in performance.
The complete list of recent driver updates for different chipsets and GPUs are discussed below.
1] Intel WiFi drivers
When it comes to Chipsets, Intel is the leading company. As existing device drivers are compatible with the upcoming Windows 11 (version 22h2), Intel has rolled out the latest WiFi package for all its users. The new WiFi package drivers start with the Build number 22.160.0 and are available for the below set of Intel Wireless Adapters –
- WiFi 6E
- WiFi 6
- WiFi 9000
- WiFi 8000
The driver package 22.160.0 has been validated to support Windows 11 version 22H2, and its release note is available at intel.com. The INF file (Netwtw06e.INF) supports the newer WiFi module i.e. WiFi 6E adapters. To know more, visit this webpage.

2] AMD Chipset Drivers
The second leading chipset company has also released the latest versions on its official site. Just visit amd.com, and you will find recent Chipset support and Processor support. The company has also come up with the latest package contents of different device drivers. The latest chipset by AMD is 4.08.09.2337.
There are a few known issues as well which AMD has pointed out in its release notes. For example, you need to manually restart your non-English operating system after the drivers’ installation completes. Russian users may face issues like -“Text alignment” when they update drivers in their native languages.
3] AMD Adrenalin Edition 22.7.1 driver
AMD Adrenalin Edition 22.7.1 driver is also now available on AMD’s official website. With this update, AMD Ryen has made some quality improvements such as – OpenGL® Optimizations, AMD Noise Suppression, and Radeon™ Super Resolution.
In addition to this, they have also worked upon and resolved the following issues –
- Lower than expected Folding@home™ compute performance with OpenCL™ API on some AMD Graphics Products such as the Radeon™ RX 6800.
- Auto Undervolt may disable the Zero RPM fan feature.
- Hitman 3™ may freeze when rapidly switching between windows in Fullscreen Exclusive mode.
- Video upscaling in browsers appears blurry with some AMD Graphics Products such as the Radeon® RX 6900 XT Graphics.
- Enhanced Sync may cause games to lock to 15FPS with video playback on extended monitors.

4] NVIDIA GPU drivers
NVIDIA has also released the compatible GPU drivers for Windows 11 version 22H2. To download the latest version of GPU drivers supported by NVIDIA, you need to first download the GeForce app. From there, you may download and install the compatible drivers.
